Boys Thirds Soccer Crushes T-P

On Saturday, October 2nd, Kent 3rds soccer dominated Trinity-Pawling, with a final score of 5-0. “It was a nice win,” Coach Ober said. After the third goal from #14, Joshua Benjamin ‘25, everyone was certain that the win for Kent was secured. With the fiery energy from captain Connor McPherson ’22 leading the team, they easily overcame Trinity-Pawling.

“I was really pleased with [the team’s performance]. Everybody was stepping up and playing hard, and everyone played, which was great,” Ober commented. Even with a great number of freshmen and new players in the team, they still managed to play a great game against Trinity-Pawling, not even letting the opponents score once.

With a 2-2 win-loss record so far in the season, Coach Ober hopes the players can “continue to improve, continue to play even more selflessly.” Improving their teamwork, the thirds team can surely overcome any team standing in their way, even if it is Berkshire, whom they lost to last week 5-4.

With the team’s future looking good so far, Coach Ober would like for the team to improve on dribbling less and instead passing and shooting more.
