Ms. Thomsen

Seven students from Kent Model UN represented seven different countries on five committees at this fall’s UCMUN conference.

Two of our students were individually recognized with awards for their hard work: Trey Walsh ‘18, representing the Canadian judge on the International Court of Justice spent three days debating the legal rights of self-determination for the contested region of Nagorno-Karabakh and was one of two students recognized as Most Improved Delegate.

Renata Gladkikh ‘18 was also awarded for her outstanding representation of Angola on the UN Development Programme as they debated the safety and protection of aid workers and legal accountability measures for aid distribution.

Please be sure to talk to all the delegates who participated and did outstanding work this weekend: Evelyne Goulet, Kinsey Bluestein, Trey Walsh, Renata Gladkikh, Skyler Do, Roshni Saxena and Drew Laz-Nwokeafor.
