On March 30, 2025, Kent School hosted its annual Wellness Fair, which provided an opportunity for participants to absorb knowledge about health, self-care, international events, and business by visiting different student-led clubs. During the event, participants were able to get raffle tickets from different booths and aim for different prizes such as a dog plushie, camera, glasses, and snacks.
The fair’s goal was simple, according to Dr. Kearney: “It serves as an event that brings a community together and elevates the student-led clubs.” Regardless of your educational background, cultural background, or nationality, the fair offers a “peer-to-peer education opportunity,” which is an interesting learning experience that lets students share their knowledge. Based on the data that Dr. Kearney provided, there were 22 booths and 65 student leaders involved.
The fair was well-prepared and highly engaging. One booth after another let students be fully submerged in the experience of “knowledge and culture exchange.” A circular court gave students an experience similar to strolling in a garden. Clubs such as Art and Wellness, Nutrition 101, Kent Investment Club, and +&- in Love Club provided unique ideas and wellness topics.
Said Dr. Kearney, “I hope the wellness fair will happen again. Mr. Provost, one of the event organizers, will carry the legacy and hopefully organize it twice a year.” For plans, Dr. Kearney also has great suggestions: “North Court probably is a bit far for students at dinnertime. So next year, we will probably change the location and time.”
The Wellness Fair enhanced students’ connection, curiosity, and life experiences, and will hopefully become a part of Kent School’s annual traditions.
