PROM 2022!!

After two years of COVID, Kent seniors finally have the opportunity to enjoy a “normal” Senior Prom. According to Ms. Gualtieri (“Ms. G”), who was a Kent student from 2012 to 2015 and who currently serves as an Assistant Dean of Students, Kent has had its deposit for prom since 2019 – the year before Covid canceled two proms in a row.

After three years, it was fun to plan for the DJ, photobooth, buses, chaperones, and meals to create a memorable experience for seniors. This year, the Senior Council, Blue Key members, and form reps helped create a Google form of artist requests for the DJ.

Speaking of her own experience, Ms. G greatly enjoyed her Kent senior prom. Having a date back at home, Ms. G went to their junior prom and senior ball, in which she felt a bit distant because she wasn’t as familiar with the people there. However, at her Kent senior prom, she really had fun because she was surrounded by her Kent family.

“The recent Kent prom was really a success; seeing everyone all dressed up, having fun, dancing, and enjoying their last days as a senior was a good feeling,” Ms. G smiled.
