Boys Varsity Squash had a tough battle against Millbrook on February 15th, in their final home game of the season. The team played valiantly, but unfortunately were unable to beat Millbrook in the end.

Mohamed Hassan ‘17, a captain and number two on the squad, was able to win three of his matches (11-3, 11-1, and 11-2) beating his opponent soundly.

Omar Mazen Attia ‘17, captain and first on the squad, though, had a tough match against Millbrook’s number one seed. Although he had won all three of his matches (11-4,11-8,11-6), it was a battle of attrition that took time. In the end however, he persevered and beat his opponent.

Omar and Mohamed were the stars for Kent in their final home match, but the final score was a loss to Millbrook, 5-2 in a heated afternoon of play.

Next week, on the 24th, Kent’s squad will head to the New England Championships for a final fight against some of New England’s toughest teams. It will undoubtedly be a tough fight, but the team’s history of perseverance will help them through the tournament.
